Ember is the flame that refuses to go out. The spark that waits in the darkness, the heat that burns slowly beneath the charred remains of an old self. Ember is the phoenix that dies a thousand times, and will always rise again.
My own story is constantly in flux, moving between the shadows of my past and the glory of finding freedom. Because I have dedicated myself to fearlessly meeting each new evolution, I can offer a hand to you. Think of me as the deep feminine guide through the shadowy recesses of your soul. The friend holding your hand as you battle the monsters in your head and in your heart. The mother who holds you when you cry. I am the light in the darkness, showing you the path you could not see through your fears. This is my gift to you.

Ember Markussen is a frequent contributor to Enchanted Living magazine. She holds undergraduate (Smith College) and Master’s (UCI) degrees in History, and is certified in Breathwork (David Elliott), Reiki (S.A.G.E. Holistic Health and Wellness Center), and End-of-Life Doula Work (International End-of-Life Doula Association - INELDA), with further training in Cognitive Coaching, Storytelling, Dance, and Tantra. In 2024, Ember underwent priestess training and was initiated a member of The Sisterhood of Avalon. She is passionate about feminine energy, sacred union, conscious parenting, freedom of expression, and the creation of a New Earth through authentic living.
